In yet another case of fratricide, a soldier allegedly shot dead his colleague following an altercation in an army camp in Kupwara district on Tuesday.
A soldier shot dead his colleague in a camp at Zanglipora in Kupwara district, a defence spokesman said.
The personnel who opened fire has been taken into custody and proceedings under army rules has been initiated against him, the spokesman said.
The identity of the soldiers was withheld pending the inquiry.
