Mumbai gets a new police chief
March 03, 2007

D N Jadhav took charge as the Mumbai police commissioner at the police headquarters in Mumbai late Friday night.

He replaces A N Roy to the coveted post.

Jadhav, a 1973 batch IPS officer, was earlier Pune police commissioner.      

Roy has been promoted as managing director of Police Housing and Welfare Board.
