The special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Court on Friday gave an ultimatum to the July 11 train blasts accused to finalise their lawyer by July 6.

The framing of charges was delayed twice earlier as some accused did not have lawyers, while other defence advocates did not turn up.

Special MCOCA judge Mridula Bhatkar said that vakalatnama should be filed by July 13.

The prosecution will open the case by framing charges on July 30 and there will be no adjourning, she said.

Four of the accused had informed the court on the last occasion that they had not engaged a lawyer and sought time for consulting their families to engage one.
