Ayodhya commission gets two-month extension

Liberhan Commission has received yet another extension, the third this year. The government gave it two more months to complete its inquiry into the circumstances that led to the demolition of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya.

The term of the Commission headed by retired Justice Manmohan Singh [Images] Liberhan, ended on March 31, 2007, and was extended for three months till June 30, 2007, with a clear direction that it should submit its report either on or before that date.
