In yet another petition against the Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul for allegedly humiliating his staff, the Delhi High Court issued a notice to him on Thursday.

A Division Bench of Justice Manmohan Sarin and Justice S L Bhayana asked Paul to file the reply by January 20 on a petition filed by one Ajay Malik accusing the commissioner of harassing his missing father Balbir Singh.

Malik said in the petition that his father had imposed a fine of Rs 400 on the driver of a speeding car when he was posted as traffic inspector at Gandhinagar traffic signal last year.

The petitioner said his father had told him that the person had threatened him with dire consequences and said he will take the matter to commissioner of police who is a close friend of his.

Paul called Singh the next day and humiliated him, the petitioner alleged.

Malik also claimed that in June, last year his father was 'picked up by the police personnel for no reason and was beaten up badly'. Singh had received injuries for which he was getting treatment, he added.

Seeking court direction for appropriate order against Paul, Malik said on January 5, this year his father went missing when he was going to a CGHS dispensary.
