Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee, recovering in a nursing home in Kolkata after a 25-day fast to protest the acquisition of land for industries, is likely to be moved out from the intensive care unit, a doctor attending on her said on Thursday.

"Banerjee is in a stable condition. All her health parameters are normal and she is likely to be shifted from the ICU to a general ward," Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said.

Banerjee had mild fever on Tuesday evening, but has been normal since then, she said.

Banerjee ended her fast against the acquisition of farm land at Singur for a Tata Motors' small car project on December 28.

She was admitted to the private nursing home immediately afterwards as her health had deteriorated.
