The Bangalore police have warned the touring Pakistan cricket team to stay indoors after practice sessions and not to venture out in the open due to security reasons.

The warning comes after it was found that several Pakistan players had been venturing out in the city ever since they arrived in Bangalore. The team is lodged at Hotel Grand Ashok, which is in the heart of the city.

Deputy commissioner of police Mulla, who is the camp commandant for the security of both the teams, said Pakistan players went shopping and even watched a movie.

The DCP said before any player sets out, he would have to be informed and in turn they would be provide with an escort.

The Bangalore police are not taking any chances with the Pakistan fans. All fans have been directed to register themselves with the Foreign Registration Office immediately after arrive in Bangalore.

What worries the police is that in 2005 when a test match was played in Bangalore, 18 Pakistan fans went missing. In 2005, there was no registration process.

The police say a Pakistani fan would have to register himself 24 hours prior to the match, Else, they say, the fans will face deportation.
