Sardar Shahwali Khan, convicted for his role in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, has said the verdict will not deter him from pursuing his education and he is determined to complete his studies in the jail.

"I will complete M.Com Part II examination by writing papers in jail. Conviction would not deter me from completing studies and I will in all probabilty obtain post-graduate degree from jail," Sardar, who is currently engaged in civil construction business, told PTI.

He said he had already cleared M.Com Part I examination from Bombay University through correspondence course when he was an undertrial in central prison.

Sardar said he had kept terms for law degree course from Indira Gandhi National Open University and if time permits, he would also obtain the law degree after clearing M.Com.
