Blast in OIL pipeline, 100 evacuated

A blast took place in an Oil India Limited pipeline resulting in oil spill in Upper Assam's Golaghat district late Tuesday night and forcing evacuation of 100 people from a village, OIL sources said.

The blast, which occurred due to a technical snag, set off oil spillage over a three km radius area that spread to Rajabari village, sources said.
