The terror attacks in the metropolis have cast shadow on the film and television industry where several shootings have been cancelled.

Amitabh Bachchan [Images], who was shooting for Teen Patti until November 24 in Ballard Estate, Capital cinema, Horniman Circle and Kitab Mahal areas -- all in SOuth Mumbai, in the vicinity of the CST station, one of the key sites of the attack -- described the situation as 'terrible'.

'Mumbai under terrorist attack! Several locations bombed and terrorists firing all over the city. Major hotels under siege. Multiple action on. Army called on. It's a terrible situation,' he wrote on his blog echoing the sentiments of Mumbaikars.

Ajay Devgan [Images] and wife Kajol [Images] were to shoot for their animation film Toonpur Ka Superhero in suburban Chembur but it has been called off, Devgan's spokesman said.

The shooting of several television serials have also been put on hold, in view of the grim situation prevailing in the megapolis which has left at least 100 dead till now, industry sources said. With a holiday declared in Mumbai on Thursday, heads of television channels have asked employees to stay indoors. "Television shootings are going slow. Many of them are not happening today," they added.

Abhay Deol, whose film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! is releasing on Friday, said he was finding it difficult to concentrate on promotion of his film.
