RIL gets 1,000 investor complaints in Q3

The country's most valued corporate entity Reliance Industries [Get Quote] on Thursday said it received 1,093 complaints from investors during the latest quarter, but all were resolved.

"All the 1,093 companies received during the quarter ended December 31, 2008 were resolved and no complaints were outstanding" at the end of the quarter, RIL said in a filing to the stock exchanges.

There were no investor complaints pending at the beginning of the quarter as well, the company added.

The number of investor complaints received during the latest quarter is nearly half of the previous quarter and is lowest in the recent past.

In the previous quarter ended September 30, 2008, a total of 2,020 complaints were received, while there were 1,612 complaints in the three-month period before that.

In the quarter ended March 31, 2008, there were 1,554 complaints, while in the October-December 2007 quarter, there were 1,751 complaints and 1,889 in the three- month period ended September 30 the same year.
