A dozen flights were delayed by around 30 to 40 minutes in Mumbai on Thursday morning as refuelling was affected by a strike called by the officers of the public sector oil companies that entered the second day.

"Twelve flights were delayed by around 30 to 40 minutes since 8 a.m.," Mumbai International Airport Ltd spokesperson said.

All the delayed flights were domestic, he said.

However, night operations were normal and flights operated as per the schedule, the spokesperson said.

Indian Oil Corporation [Get Quote], whose officers are also taking part in the strike, has deployed Territorial Army personnel along with senior management staff at both Delhi and Mumbai airports to carry out the refuelling work.
