At 1415 hrs, the 30-share BSE Sensex is up 696 points at 14,011, a gain of 5 per cent. The NSE Nifty is up 187 points at 4,225, a gain of 5 per cent.  

Sensex @ 1438 hrs

The Sensex has soared above the 14,000-mark on the back of unabated buying in the market. The index is now up 723 points at 14,039.

DLF has zoomed 8.8% to Rs 431. Satyam [Get Quote] and ICICI Bank [Get Quote] have soared over 8% each to Rs 363 and Rs 623, respectively.

HDFC [Get Quote] and Infosys [Get Quote] have surged over 7.5% each to Rs 2,290 and Rs 1,640, respectively.

TCS [Get Quote] and Reliance [Get Quote] Infrastructure have rallied 6.3% each to Rs 766 and Rs 903, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Reliance have gained around 6% each at Rs 1,297 and Rs 2,048, respectively.

Tata Power [Get Quote], Bharti Airtel [Get Quote] and BHEL have moved up nearly 6% each to Rs 1,004, Rs 805 and Rs 1,700, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates [Get Quote], Reliance Communicaitons, Tata Steel [Get Quote], NTPC and Larsen & Toubro are up around 5% each.

Out of 2,604 stocks traded so far, 1,869 have advanced, 670 have declined and 65 are unchanged.
