Meet Infosys' highest paid executives

There's a churn in Infosys' [Get Quote] highest paid senior executives' list for financial year 2007-08, with Nandan Nilekani, S Gopalakrishnan and S D Shibulal conspicuously missing from the top five.

According to a filing by IT bellwether to the US Securities and Exchange Commission, B G Srinivas, Ashok Vemuri and T V Mohandas Pai were the highest paid executives in FY08.

Srinivas, senior vice-president and head of the manufacturing business at Infosys, received a total compensation package of $756,959 (a little over Rs 3 crore), which includes $412,334 towards salary, $258,523 towards bonus and incentives. This included an amount of $86,102 accruing from long-term benefits.

Ashok Vemuri, senior vice-president and head of the banking and capital markets business unit, received an annual compensation of $704,111 (a little over Rs 2.8 crore).

This included $393,380 towards salary, $292,789 by way of bonus/incentives and other annual compensation of $17,942. He did not receive any amount towards long-term benefits.

T V Mohandas Pai, head (administration, education and research, HRD) and chairperson of Infosys BPO, received the third highest package. His annual package at $443,379 (about Rs 1.8 crore) included $82,033 as annual salary, bonus/incentive of $308,625, other annual compensation of $31,916 and $20,805 towards long-term benefits.

Other two names in the Infosys list were Srinath Batni, head (delivery excellence) and Subhash Dhar, senior vice-president and head (communications, media and entertainment). Batni and Dhar received annual compensation packages of $316,207 (little less than Rs 1.3 crore) and $248,316 (little less than Rs 1 crore), respectively.
