An exclusive laptop designed by Steve Jobs just for him and an Armani cellphone - that's what Vinod Jain, director of Magppie, the home accessories brand, really wants. But for now, it's regular Apple all the way.

What gadget not available in the market would you like to own?

The Giorgio Armani cellphone. It's stylish and has great features. It's a brand that I totally relate to and I would love to have a phone from that line.

What's your favourite gizmo stress-buster? 

That would be the Apple iPod. I have all my favourite music that I have collected over the years as well as my spiritual learning, et cetera, on the iPod.

What one gadget comes closest to defining you?

The Apple MacBook. It is a great machine and the features and software available on it are outstanding.

What personalised gadget would you like just for yourself and nobody else?

I would love a special laptop designed personally by Steve Jobs, which integrates my spiritual and business worlds. There should be customised programmes on it to capture my vision and help me shape it.

What gizmo do you think is overrated?

I think that would be Motorola cellphones.

What's the first thing you notice about a gadget?

The new enhanced features which are relevant to my needs.

What one gadget would you like to gift?

Any Apple product would make a great gift. It's Apple all the way!

Name one of the first gadgets you bought.

I bought my first mobile phone in 1997, an Ericsson.

What gadget was a terrible buy in retrospect?

An external hard disk from Samsung, which got corrupted. I lost all my important data.

Is there a gadget you still haven't been able to figure out?

There's no such gadget.

Name a gizmo you lost and still feel bad about.

That's my first iPod, the gadget that got me hooked to Apple as a brand.

What gizmo do you find embarrassing to own?

My current mobile phone, a Dopod, the same as an O2.

Are there any non-functional gadgets you hold on to for their sentimental value?

Yes, I still have my Nokia Communicator.
