Tantia Constructions bags Rs 178 cr orders

Infrastructure developer Tantia Constructions on Tuesday said it had bagged orders worth Rs 178.29 crore (about Rs 1.78bn) for construction of highways in Bihar.

The Kolkata-based company, which has secured the contracts from Central Public Works Department, will carry out the work in Rohtas, Lakhisaral and Jamui districts of Bihar.

While the project value for construction and development of highways in Rohtas was pegged at Rs 113.45 crore (about Rs 1.13bn), the order for work in Jamui and Lakhisaral was for Rs 64.84 crore (about Rs 640.8mn), the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Tantia had bagged an order of Rs 113.18 crore (Rs 1.13bn) from CPWD in March, taking the contracts from the department to Rs 281.50 crore (Rs 2.81bn) in the last 3 months.
