Crime Branch sleuths raided a multimedia shop in posh Dhantoli area and seized pirated software CDs and other material worth Rs 1 crore (Rs 10 million), police said on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip off, the police raided Bindusha Incorporation and caught two persons manfacturing duplicate CDs from Shri-lipi software yesterday.

Shri-lipi software is a licenced product of Modular Infotech Pvt Ltd and the raided firm did not possess any right to manufacture it.

Microsoft experts, who were called to assist police, found that the company's software 'vista' which is likely to be launched in Goa shortly, was available with the duo. Police have registered offences under the Copyright Act.
