IndianOil XTRAREWARDS is the first on-line reward programme for customer's paying cash. It is commonly assumed that plastic money or credit and debit cards are the most popular means of purchase. Research indicates that even today about 90 per cent of the people who drive into petrol pumps pay in cash.

With XTRAREWARDS, such cash customers can add value to their purchases by piling up loyalty points. These loyalty points are accrued even for customers paying through credit and debit cards.

XTRAREWARDS is a pure loyalty card, where customers purchasing fuel or lubes at IndianOil petrol pumps, can swipe the card and earn loyalty points. Each transaction would be confirmed on-line thru a charge slip.

The program can track and communicate sales promo offers at the point of purchase through the charge slip as well as SMSs sent to the cardholder's registered mobile number.

This is a pre-activated card, which can be used immediately once a customer purchases the card. A family card, it has the facility to be used by any family member at a time.

The new IndianOil XTRAREWARDS program is not all about just loyalty; it also seeks to regularly provide privileged benefits and offers from program partners.

Rediff Shopping, Domino's Pizza, JK Tyres, and Gulf Car Care Products are some of the alliance partners. This on-line program is designed to run tailor-made sales promotions at both the macro and micro levels.

Customers have been provided on-line access through a 24x7 IVRS help line, SMS platform, web site and call centre.

XTRAREWARDS loyalty program is presently active in Bangalore, from where it is scheduled for a phased launch across the country.
