IT major Infosys Technologies plans to add another 10.27 million square feet of office space in eight locations across India as a part of its expansion plan.

The Bangalore-based company, which already holds in excess of 11.8 million square feet of office space, has informed the US Securities and Exchange Commission that it will take seven properties on lease and develop one on its own. The company has said that all the capital expenditure would be financed out of cash generated from operations.

The company would construct a building at Manikonda village near Hyderabad. This will create an office space of over 3.33 lakh square feet.

The locations where office space would be leased include Infosys City in Bangalore (3.10 lakh square feet); Chandigarh (2.23 lakh sq ft); Maraimalainagar in Chennai (14.54 lakh sq ft); Chandaka Industrial Area in Bhubaneshwar (3.3 lakh sq ft); Mangalore (4.34 lakh sq ft); Hebbal Electronic City in Mysore (44.16 lakh sq ft) and Hinjewadi (Phase II) in Pune (27.63 lakh sq ft).

Infosys' principal campus, Infosys City, is located at the Electronics City in Bangalore. The campus consists of approximately 3.55 million sq ft of land and 3.5 million sq ft of operational facilities.

The company incurred a capital expenditure of $336 million during the last financial year. The company had contractual commitments for capital expenditure of $158 million, as on March 31.
