IT consulting firm Tech Mahindra Ltd [Get Quote] on Friday said it will set up a centre for excellence at Belfast in Northern Ireland for business service delivery.

"Belfast has this refreshing attitude and the spirit of innovation in abundance. Our Belfast centre will play a pivotal role in servicing and growing our client base in Europe and North America," said Tech Mahindra president (Strategic Initiatives) Sanjay Kalra in a communique to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The centre, which is being supported by Invest Northern Ireland, would provide end to end IT and BPO solutions to customers primarily in European and the US markets, the company added.

The centre would provide multilingual support to Tech Mahindra customers on 24X7 basis and would be an important milestone in its efforts to build a global delivery capability, Tech Mahindra added.
