IBM has been positioned as a leader in the Indian IT services market for 2006 by analyst firm IDC.
IBM Global Services continued to retain the number one position in the Indian IT services market, with a 9.7 per cent revenue share for the year 2006, a company release said.
The company's leadership position in the domestic IT services space was augmented by higher-than-industry average revenue growth in IS outsourcing engagements.
"We are honoured by IDC's recognition of our continued leadership in the domestic IT services market," said Nipun Mehrotra, director-Global Technology Services, IBM India.
