ICICI Bank revises NRI deposit rates

ICICI Bank [Get Quote] on Friday said it has revised interest rates on foreign currency NRE fixed and FCNR deposits from July 1.

Interest rates on NRE fixed deposits of 12 months and above but less than 18 months, 18 months and above but less than two years and two years and above but less than three years, stand revised to 5.43 per cent from 5.39 per cent for the first two maturities and 5.32 per cent respectively.

For 36 months to 120 months, the new rate applicable is 5.46 per cent as against the earlier 5.30 per cent, a bank press release said. For USD-denominated FCNR (B) deposits of one year and above but less than two years and two years and above but less than three years, the new rate applicable is 4.68 per cent as against the earlier 4.64 per cent and 4.57 per cent respectively.

For three years and above but less than four years and four years and above but less than five years, the revised rates are 4.71 per cent and 4.75 per cent respectively as against the earlier 4.55 per cent.

For a maturity period of five years, the rate has been revised to 4.79 per cent from the earlier 4.57 per cent. Interest rates on the British pound and Canadian dollar-denominated FCNR deposits too have been increased by up to 0.27 per cent and 0.16 per cent respectively for various maturities.
