Ahmedabad-based Kunvarji Group, has fulfilled a long pending demand for Gujarat, the land of commodities. It has signed with India's leading bourse, Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) for offering Commodities related Training Programs in Ahmedabad.

Kunvarji Academy For Learning & Excellence (KALEx) mooted under the aegis of Kunvarji Investment Solutions & Services Pvt. Ltd. (KISSPL) will address the training needs of Financial Services Market, especially Futures Market, undergoing a sea change, pursuant to market globalization and technology advances.

"Commodities market are highly dependent on fundamental and technical factors and therefore, greater awareness and education will benefit the Commodity Producers, Traders, Users, Exporters, Importers," said Sumesh Parasrampuria, Chief Business Development Officer, MCX while inaugurating the academy.

"By highlighting them the risks and also by clarifying how to use futures to reduce their risks," he said emphasizing that user education is the best method of reaching out to all the direct users and even generating new employment opportunity.

The first programme in the series is "MCX Certified Commodity Professional" (MCCP), comprising 25 hours of learning followed by an online test conducted by MCX. This will be followed by all the MCX programmes in Ahmedabad in a phased manner.

The candidates passing out from the batch would be eligible for appointment as Dealers for MCX Trader Work Stations(TWS). MCX has mandated at least one MCCP certified professional for each of its member brokers.

MCCP course is designed to provide all the necessary inputs required to get the participants well versed with the modalities of the Commodity markets, such as scope, regulatory frame work, trading, clearing and settlement delivery procedures, legal and Investment Issues etc.

The course is ideal for Commodity stock market brokers, investors, analysts, students, treasury executives, bankers, farmers, hedgers, arbitrageurs, etc. The training module has been designed in English and Gujarati.

Kunvarji Academy aims at launching MCX Commodity Specific Programs (CSP) which provides a clear understanding of the Fundamental and Technical factors that affect the price behavior of the Commodity derivatives, like Bullion, Crude, Non ferrous metals, Agricultural Commodities, etc.

Atul Chokshi, Director, Kunvarji Investment Solutions & Services Pvt. Ltd said the Academy is a modern, 25 seat classroom augmented by simulation room for Terminal Training and online testing. The facilities also include Conference and Counseling.
