Thirty-one Indian companies, under the aegis of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council, will showcase their capabilities at the Gitex Dubai 2007, the largest IT show in the region.

The show would be organised from September 8 to 12 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai.

Gitex is the rallying point for IT companies, developers, outsourcing companies among others for showcasing their products and solutions particularly relating to computing and communications systems for building synergies with expanding digital market of Gulf region.

India's exports of electronics and software has reached $837 million to Middle East and the region continues to maintain its fifth position for India's exports of electronics and computer software/services, says Kamal Vachani, Regional Director of ESC.

ESC has been encouraging Indian IT companies particularly small and medium enterprises to participate at this show by offering special packages to them since Middle East markets hold tremendous potential for Indian companies.

The Middle East and surrounding region are keenly looking forward to have meaningful tie-ups with India, says Vachani.
