Sachin Tendulkar [Images] on Friday assured that the finger injury he sustained while fielding during New Zealand's [Images] second innings is not serious.

"It is fine. It is a bit sore right now. I am glad that I have not broken it," said Tendulkar after the third day's play.

Tendulkar, who had smashed a masterly 160, was fielding in the first slip when he stooped to pouch an edge from Tim McIntosh off Zaheer Khan [Images].

He managed to hold on to the low catch but was seen grimacing in pain. He soon left the field to get his finger treated and Dinesh Karthik [Images] came in as the substitute fielder.
