After leading his side to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings [Images] on Friday night, Delhi Daredevils [Images] captain Virender Sehwag [Images] said he knew a target of 170 was not enough on a flat Chepauk pitch.

Delhi end Chennai's winning run

"We were under pressure before the match. They (Super Kings) were the unbeaten side, but once we restricted them to less than 170 we knew it was chaseable on a flat track like we have today. It (the chase) was also a lot more easier with Gambhir batting so well," Sehwag said after ending the home team's unbeaten record in the Indian Premier League [Images].

"It was a good track to play shots. There was bounce, the ball was coming on to the bat. I was hitting the ball well, playing my shots. They tried to bowl nearer my body but I was on song," said Sehwag who hit a 41-ball 71 with seven fours and four sixes.

Sehwag admitted his side was lucky as they would not have to suffer much due to departure of overseas players.

"Our local players are doing well. Then we have (Glenn) McGrath, Mohd. Asif bowling well though Daniel Vettori [Images] will have to go, we are not going to be affected much," he said.

Losing captain MS Dhoni [Images] also said the departure of the three overseas players would not affect his side much though he admitted New Zealander Jacob Oram [Images] would have been really handy bowling at the dead on Friday.

"I don't think our team will be affected much by the departure of foreign players. But I feel Oram could have been really handy today bowling at the dead," he said.

"We have replacements in Makhaya Ntini [Images] and local players. We have to see how we maintain our form in the second phase, that is the important thing," he said.
