A court on Friday ordered that an FIR be filed against Board of Control for Cricket in India chief Sharad Pawar [Images] and three others for alleged misappropriation of funds during the fifth India-Australia ODI in Hyderabad.

The Third Metropolitan Magistrate of Cyberabad issued the order while acting on a complaint filed by a former Rajya Sabha member P Radhakrishna.

The petitioner contended that the BCCI had sold 24,000 tickets for a premium and made huge money, while only 15,000 tickets were made available for the general public.

The petitioner alleged that Rs 12 crore was misappropriated in the process.

The court ordered that FIRs be filed against Pawar, BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah, Hyderabad Cricket Association president and secretary G Vinod and Shivlal Yadav respectively.
