Budget chat with Parag Parikh

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee marginally raised the Income-Tax exemption limit, abolished FBT and Commodity Tax and said his government is here to work for the benefit of the aam aadmi.

The Opposition blasted the Budget, most captains of the Indian industry cheered and the Sensex tanked a massive 870 points at close.

Parikh obtained his Masters degree in commerce and economics from the University of Mumbai. He has also studied entrepreneurial management.

He started life as a sub broker in 1979 and in 1983 became a member of the Bombay Stock Exchange. Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services Ltd was the first broker in South Asia to start an equity research department way back in 1985.

Parag Parikh is the chairman of PPFAS.
