Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's followers have denied the report circulated by the Punjab police that six women of the Dera were ready to be human bombs to kill VVIP's in Punjab.

There has been a stand-off between the Akalis now in power and the Dera chief over the issue of dressing up like Guru Gobind Singh and releasing his picture in the media.

"This is a new item they have released with the intention of maligning the premis of Dera for showing their solidarity with the Dera chief," said Pawan Insan in a statement released to mediapersons.

Insan claimed that thousands of fabricated cases have been registered against the followers of the Dera chief in order to keep them away from the sect and get forcible statements meant to implicate their guru.

He, however, did not say if he was planning any action against the news channels for carrying unconfirmed reports.
