China Eastern Airlines said on Friday it will start flight to connect Kolkata and Kunming, the capital of Yunan province of China from October 30.
"We are pleased to connect Kolkata with China after New Delhi. There will be a direct flight between Kolkata and Kunming three-days a week," China Eastern India chief representative Edward Zhu Xuemin said.
Presently, China Eastern has flight to New Delhi and is planning to connect more cities in future.
"We had Mumbai flight, but was suspended two years ago due to some technical reasons," Xuemin added.
Air China and China Southern also has flights to various Indian cities besides Air India.
