Bharti Airtel on Monday announced a 39 per cent reduction in International long distance tariffs (ISD) to the United States and Canada.

The reduced tariff rates, to be applicable from Tuesday, would enable the users to make calls to the US and Canada at Rs 1.99 per minute, a company statement said.

The offer is, however, available to customers who are using the company's STD and ISD calling card of Rs 2,245.

"With more and more Indians connecting with their friends, family and business associates across the world, it is imperative that international calling becomes more affordable," Bharti Airtel chief marketing officer Sanjay Gupta said.
