The Sensex is now down 33 points at 14,466. The NSE Nifty is down 19 points at 4,248.BHEL has plunged 2.8% to Rs 1,440, and Gujarat Ambuja [Get Quote] have shed 2.6% to Rs 116.Reliance has dropped nearly 2% to Rs 1,701.

Tata Steel [Get Quote], Satyam [Get Quote], Wipro [Get Quote], Tata Motors [Get Quote] and Reliance Communications [Get Quote] have declined around 1% each to Rs 601, Rs 461, Rs 518, Rs 680 and Rs 512, respectively.

Reliance Energy [Get Quote] has soared 3% to Rs 577, and NTPC has surged 1.7% to Rs 153.

HDFC [Get Quote] has rallied 1.4% each to Rs 1,875. HLL [Get Quote] and Hindalco [Get Quote] have advanced over 1% each to Rs 191 and Rs 169, respectively.

Out of 2,598 stocks traded so far, 1,357 have advanced, 1,260 have declined and 81 are unchanged.
