August 29, 2007

Infosys has a long way to go as far as IT business is concerned, said Kris Gopalakrishnan, CEO Infosys Technologies Ltd [Get Quote]. He, along with Amitabh Chaudhry, CEO & MD, Infosys BPO Ltd, addressed a press conference in Mumbai on Wednesday.

In spite of a slowdown in the US economy, Infosys clients do not anticipate an actual slowdown, said the Infosys chief. "Infosys' attitude will be 'wait and watch'," he added.

Singing an optimistic tone about the so-called reverse brain-drain, the Infosys boss said, "It's time we made the most of it."

Talking about China posing a tough competition to India, Gopalakrishnan said, "Whether China poses a threat or not, India needs to be on its toes for a better future in IT."
