Enthused with the growth of FMCG sector in the northern market, FMCG company Dabur India Ltd [Get Quote] on Friday said it is targeting Rs 100 crore (Rs 1 billion) of revenue from this region.

"Last year, we did a business of Rs 80 crore (Rs 800 million) from this region which comprises Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. This year we wish to clock revenue of Rs 100 crore (Rs 1 billion) from this region only from our FMCG segment," Adarsh Sharma, general manager (sales-north), Dabur India Ltd told reporters on Friday.

Dabur India Ltd, which re-launched its Odomos brand in Chandigarh on Friday, is expecting 30 per cent growth from the sales of the Odomos range of mosquito repellants, alone, in the country.

The Odomos brand alone has earned revenue of about Rs 30 crore (Rs 300 million) for the company last year and it has about 96 per cent share in the total market of mosquito repellant segment.

The company expects the new format of Odomos would be well received by customers in the Punjab and Haryana markets.

"Punjab and Haryana are very important markets for Odomos and together account for 17 per cent of Odomos all India sales. We are confident that this format would be well received by the customers of this region," Harkawal Singh, senior product manager, home care, Dabur India said.
