The Hamas attack on the Nova festival in Israel on October 7 has left many families devastated, more so because the loved ones they lost are their young children.

Shira Eylon was only 23 when she was killed.

Ben Binyamin Cohen is just 27, and still missing almost two weeks later.

Bar Kuperstein, only 21, has been held hostage by Hamas.

Michal Halev's only son Laor was 20 when he lost his life at the music festival.

'Last week, I still believed my only child Laor was kidnapped by Hamas,' she says in a statement.

'Hope turned to horror when it turned out that they killed my son, probably on the way to Gaza.

'It may sound strange to you, for many people it is, but I have no desire for my devastation to lead to another mother's devastation.

'In the most painful and craziest moment of my life, where I involuntarily become a character in a horror movie, it's important for me to raise my voice and say, "Please don't go out and take revenge for me".'

The devastated mother has a request for the world, and she says it here:
