Here’s what happened when United States President Barack Obama decided to take a stroll.
Washington was in for a big surprise when President Barack Obama decided to take a walk.
The President was seen strolling on the Ellipse with his suit jacket tossed over his shoulder on Wednesday. He was heading to the nearby department of the interior from the White House and decided to walk the distance.
“We can shake hands. I won’t bite,” Obama said jokingly as he greeted passersby.
Tourists were delighted as the President candidly chatted, a lady squealed and even clicked pictures.
A woman shook his hand, she asked, "Are you real?" The President said he was.
"It's good to be out," he said. "The bear is loose."
He was loose, yes. But no idea why he referred to himself as ‘the bear’.
