SRK banned from Wankhede for 5 years

The Mumbai Cricket Association, on Friday, banned Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan from entering the Wankhede stadium for five years for misbehaving with its officials and violating its rules.

The "unanimous" decision was taken at the MCA's managing committee meeting, called to discuss action on Khan, who was involved in a skirmish with the security and officials of the association after KKR's victory over Mumbai Indians on Wednesday night.

But what really happened, what was said, that led to such flaring of tempers on both sides?

Rekha takes oath as Rajya Sabha MP

Cine superstar Rekha took oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, becoming yet another personality from the tinsel town to enter the portals of Parliament.

Clad in golden brown saree and a matching high-heel sandals, the 57-year-old actor of yesteryears arrived in the Upper House at 10.57 am and was immediately surrounded by members who greeted her profusely.

Renowned journalist and nominated member H K Dua offered her his seat no 97 and was seen explaining the procedure before Chairman Hamid Ansari took his seat. She was greeted with thumping of desk when her name was called for taking oath."I Rekha Ganeshan" she said, swearing in the name of God in her brief oath in English.

Ansari remarked "welcome" as she walked up to him after taking oath and greeted him with folded hands.

IPL Player arrested for molestation

An Australian player Luke Pomersbach with Royal Challengers Bangalore was arrested by Delhi police on Friday on charges of molesting an Indian American woman and beating her fianc饮 A case has been registered against him under various sections of IPC including section 354 of IPC, 323, 454 and 511. Meanwhile, reacting over the controversy IPL Chairman Rajiv Shukla said the IPL had nothing to with this because the incident did not take place in any party organized by it.

This boy created the world's longest necklace

In a bid to register his name for doing something unique, a 13-year-old boy Ajay Parekh hailing from Rajasthan Jodhpur city prepared a necklace 105 feet by 2 inches within a record time. He made this attempt by putting 1596 beads in a string in record time. Meanwhile, father of Ajay, Mr. Ashok Parekh who had already created a record in 2005 by making a necklace of 19 feet in an hour, felt elated on his son's victory. Ajay also said that he felt happy to break his father's record as he was inspired by him.
