Aam Aadmi party leader Arvind Kejriwal has shot off a letter to Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, in which he has levelled several unsubstantiated charges against the billionaire businessman and asked Ambani to sue him.

Responding to notices served to various television channels by Ambani and Reliance Industries, Kejriwal asked the billionaire why he was holding the media houses responsible for airing his allegations against him.

'The notice should have been sent to us'

'I find it quite perplexing. If you felt that you have been defamed by what Prashant Bhushan (Kejriwal's colleague in the Aam Aadmi Party) and I said, then we are the real culprits and, if you had to send a defamation notice, it should have been to us.'

'The TV channels merely broadcast what we said. Despite this, you have sent it to the TV channels. It is evident that your sole purpose of sending this notice was to steamroll the TV channels into subservience," Kejriwal alleged in the letter.

He also leveled unsubstantiated charges about Ambani's alleged influence over the Congress-led government the Centre, including S Jaipal Reddy's removal as petroleum minister.
