Nyepi is a day of silence for self-reflection to celebrate the Balinese Hindu new year, where Hindus meditate and fast. They do not work, cook, light lamps or conduct any other activities.

Song Xuxia, 19, receives treatment at a hospital after a 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit Minxian county, Dingxi, Gansu province July 23, 2013. Song’s leg, waist and face were injured during the earthquake when she was stuck in a collapsed house. Fortunately the villagers heard her cry and managed to pull her out from the debris in time.

A jockey spurs the cows as they race in Pacu Jawi on October 12, 2013 in Batusangkar, Indonesia. This Pacu Jawi (traditional cow racing) is held anually in muddy rice fields to celebrate the end of the harvest season by the Minangkabau people. Jockeys grab the tails of the bulls and skate across the mud barefoot balancing on a wooden plank to show the strength of their bulls who are later auctioned to buyers.

Davies' model features his arm in a sling due to him being scanned in August 2013 whilst recovering from a broken wrist. The exhibition featured over 600 3D printed objects ranging from: replacement organs, artworks, aircraft parts and a handgun.

Around 500 eligible pre-1905 cars take part in The Royal Automobile Club's annual 60-mile drive from Hyde Park in central London to the seafront on the Sussex resort of Brighton. It is the longest running motoring event in the world, and attracts entrants from across the globe.
