Star studded celebration for Sachin

After scoring his 100th century over a week ago in an Asia Cup match against Bangladesh, Sachin Tendulkar returned home to much fanfare and celebrations.
Industrialist Mukesh Ambani threw a lavish party in the honour of the legendary cricketer at his residence on Peddar Road in South Mumbai on March 26.

While industrialist Anand Mahindra and fashion designer/politician Shaina NC graced the do, quite a few Bollywood stars turned up too.

The legendary batsman was struggling to hold back tears as he relived his journey in international cricket while also paying tribute to his team-mates. It was clear he is still finding it difficult to digest that cricket won't be a part of his daily life anymore.

"I had made a pact with myself that I wouldn't cry in any of the functions over the last two or three weeks. I think it has been tested to the limit today," he said in Mumbai, at a glittering function organised by the BCCI to felicitate his contribution to Indian cricket.

V K singh asks CBI to probe Lt General Dalbir Singh

Army Chief General V K Singh's tryst with controversies seems nowhere close to coming to a halt. Be it the age row, letter 'leaks' or offer of bribe, the maverick general is literally shaking the entire nation on a regular basis.
Raising yet another controversy on Thursday, General Singh has now sent a letter written by Trinamool Member of Parliament Ambika Banerjee to the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe against Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh Suhag, who is second in line to be the army chief.
According to a popular national daily, the army chief forwarded the MP's letter that has alleged widespread "procurement scams" in the "secretive" Special Frontier Force, when Lt Gen Dalbir Singh was its inspector general.
The MP alleged payoffs for the purchase of night-vision devices, communication systems, weapons as well as parachutes

'My father was offered bribe when he was PM'

Janata Dal Secular leader and Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy today dropped another bomb over the Army Chief bribery scam by saying that even his father, HD Deve Gowda, was offered bribe by middlemen to approve defence procurements when he was the prime minister.
