Should ministers have welcomed Baba Ramdev at the airport?

Last updated on: June 1, 2011 18:44 IST

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's battle may already be half won.

Ramdev, who arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday days ahead of his hunger strike at Ram Lila maidan, was received by big-wigs of the Manmohan Singh cabinet, including Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal and cabinet secretary KM Chandrasekhar.

Ramdev is demanding that black money stashed in safe havens abroad be brought back to India. And considering the following that the Yoga guru has, the government is out to convince him against sitting on hunger strike. So far though, the government's appeals seem to be falling on deaf ears.

So while Baba Ramdev walks the red carpet laid out by the government, we ask you our readers for your views on the issue.
