PC's right-wing jibe to save his corrupt skin: BJP
Strongly objecting to Home Minister P Chidambaram's statement on right wing extremism, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday said he should not compromise on the fight against terrorism just to save himself from his 'neck-deep' involvement in the 2G spectrum scam.
"It is my personal appeal to my dear friend P Chidambaram. To save your corrupt skin, please do not compromise with the country's fight against terror," BJP chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

'Your government has a very corrupt image'
Chidambaram had stated on Monday that the BJP was attacking some ministers, including him, as the UPA-II government had quickened the pace of investigations in cases involving right wing terror groups.
"Pointing an accusing finger at us is not good... Your government has a very corrupt image and you have been involved neck-deep in making this image. You had stated in a letter to the PM that the spectrum allocation issue should be treated as a closed chapter," Prasad said.

'Raja's allegations should not be taken lightly'
He maintained that 'terror patronage' by Pakistan is getting exposed and the Ghulam Nabi Fai case is an example of it.
The BJP leader alleged that the charges made by former Telecom Minister A Raja against Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum scam should not be taken lightly.
"What Raja is saying is his concern. But one should not forget that he was a Cabinet minister. He used to sit in the Cabinet meetings. He took decisions in consultation with the Prime Minister and with approval of the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram. There is enough proof of this," Prasad said.
