Let's meet the illustrious winners of India Abroad awards 2010

Nobel Laureate Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, right, after presenting the India Abroad Person of the Year 2010 Award to Professor Ajit Randhawa and Raj Randhawa, second and third from right, who accepted the Award on their daughter Nikki Haley's behalf.

Nikki Haley, the first woman and Indian-American Governor of South Carolina, and the India Abroad Person of the Year 2010, could not attend the event as she was away in Europe.

Kathleen Shea, VP Sales & Marketing, The Pierre, one of the event's sponsors, astrophysicist Dr Priyamvada Natarajan, FourSquare co-founder Naveen Selvadurai and mathematician Dr Manjul Bhargava, after the presentation of the India Abroad Face of the Future Award.

Dr Bhargava, one of the world's finest mathematicians and the second-youngest full professor at Princeton University, won the first Face of the Future Award in 2008.

Dr Natarajan, who has just discovered a family of the youngest black holes, win the second Face of the Future Award in 2009.

Selvadurai, who is worth an estimated $80 million, is one of the pioneers in social media with his FourSquare site.
