After New Delhi, Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi’s next stop was Varanasi, the Uttar Pradesh constituency, which voted him to the Parliament.

Modi offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple with close aide Amit Shah and party chief Rajnath Singh. He then headed to Dashashwamedh Ghat to attend the Ganga aarti.

A large number of security personnel have been deployed at the Dashashwamedh Ghat where the Ganga aarti attracts huge crowds on a daily basis.
