Rediff.com's data journalists have broken down 2012 district-wise National Crime Records Bureau data into a constituency-wise listing.

Kokrajhar in Assam (977 riot cases per million population) registered the maximum number of riot cases in the country in 2012 followed by Kannur in Kerala (506 riot cases per million population) and Dhubri in Assam (497 riot cases per million population).
