Pope Francis blesses a sick boy who is accompanied by a Harley-Davidson biker after Mass in Saint Peter's Square at the Vatican

Pope Francis blessed thousands of Harley Davidson riders in the Vatican city during the four day celebration marking the American bike manufacturer's 110th anniversary.

According to Politico, Francis drove up the main boulevard leading to St. Peter' Square, blessing thousands of people, which became a giant Harley parking lot.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle with a bike blessing is parked outside Saint Peter's Square before a mass led by Pope Francis in Rome.

The bikers came from all over the world and took part in an unrelated, two-day pro life rally to commemorate a 1995 encyclical on the inviolability of human life.

The main events of the celebration included Saturday's parade past the Colosseum and other historic landmarks and Sunday's Vatican blessing.

Pope Francis blesses the Harley Davidson bikers from his Popemobile before the start of a mass outside Saint Peter's Square in Rome

Francis offered prayers for every human life especially the most ''fragile, defenseless and threatened'' without being specific about abortion or contraception.

An estimate of half-million Harley owners descended in Rome for the anniversary, the report added.
