United States First Lady Michelle Obama played a little tennis with kids, displayed her football skills, handed out some hugs and posed for photos with strapping athletes as she formally began her stint leading the US Olympics delegation.

Mrs O promoted the Let's Move event to promote fitness awareness as the US ambassador's residence in Regent's Park, London that saw the participation of more than a thousand American and British kids.
