Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, in his first speech after winning the state elections for the third time, thanked the voters and apologised to them for his mistakes, if any.
When the crowd chanted their demand for him to take over the prime minister's post, Modi said, "If you want, I will go to Delhi".

Taking responsibility for his party's defeat in the state assembly elections, Gujarat Congress chief Arjun Modhwadia today resigned from his post.
Modhwadia, who was defeated by his BJP rival Babu Bokhiria in Porbandar constituency, sent his resignation to Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
