Hooch tragedy 'gulps' 107 lives in dry state
Twelve more people lost their lives due to consumption of spurious brew, taking the death toll in the hooch tragedy to 107 on Friday even as the crackdown on illicit liquor dens continued across the state.
More than 150 people are still under treatment in various hospital of the city, police said, adding that more people have been admitted to the hospitals overnight.
Twelve people, who were undergoing treatment, died on Thursday night.

People from different parts of the city like Majoor Gam, Odhav, Amraiwadi, Raipur, Rakhial, Bapunagar and Raipur have been affected.
Police continued its crackdown on illicit liquor dens in districts like Ahmedabad, Surat, Valsad, Bharuch, Vadodara besides other districts bordering neighbouring states where liquor is not prohibited.
The mounting deaths sparked public anger as protests were held across the city and the state against the inaction of police and government on illegal liquor dens.
Residents in Odhav area came out on streets, damaged municipal buses, pelted stone on police and burnt the effigies of Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Minister of State of Home Amit Shah.

Continuing their protests over the hooch tragedy, Opposition Congress MLAs today broke window panes and glass doors besides damaging photograph of leaders in Gujarat Assembly.
For the third consecutive day, Congress members staged a protest in the House by shouting slogans and demanded two hours special debate in the House on the tragedy.
A tragedy which won't be forgotten..
However, the Speaker Ashok Bhatt refused the debate and wanted the proceedings of the Assembly to start.
Congress members later came out and shouted anti-government slogans in the lobby of the House. They went on a rampage and broke window panes, glass doors and photograph of leaders put up in assembly building.
The speaker had on Thursday suspended seven Congress MLAs after they broke microphones and protested in the House on the issue.
