Go Goa Gone: Saif's BLONDE debut
Emraan Hashmi's Ek Thi Daayan
It is based on a short story written by Aparna Sen's ex-husband journalist Mukul Sharma, based on his experiences with occultism. Vishal Bhardwaj loved the story and asked Mukul Sharma to develop it into a full-fledged screenplay. Emraan Hashmi plays a magician in the film. According to him, a daayan (witch) is beautiful and scary at the same time. She has lush tresses over an angelic face.
Her feet face backwards, and hands are taller than her body. And, topping it all, all her witch power resides in her long plait. So who is this daayan in the film? Kalki Koechlin. She makes her appearance only fleetingly in the trailer. But her blanched complexion, dilated eyes in those two sockets in her face do indeed send a shiver down your spine.
The scares, otherwise, are evoked from the moments of anticipation, like Emraan Hashmi sensing a presence in his dim-lit room and gawking at the curtain undulating in the wind. The trailer of Ek Thi Daayan also shows glimpses of Konkona Sen Sharma and Huma Qureshi.
Don't Miss: Aamir's new AVTAAR for his new ad!
We shall know soon – Godrej has plans to release eight ads with Aamir as a woman, before the group reveals its new philosophy – 'Ideas that make life better'. For die-hard Aamir fans, the commercial is a delight.
The actor comes up with an ace here – with just the right nuances in an unassuming yet hilarious act, complemented well by Arjun and Nauheed. But Khan's repeated appearances as a woman could be the hot topic for his detractors to joke about!
Watch the making here and tell us by posting comments if you like this drag look of Aamir.
Sanjay Dutt: I am shattered and I will surrender
Dutt, who broke down several times during his statement to the media, said, "I am a law abiding citizen. I have the highest respect for the Supreme Court. I will abide to all terms and conditions.
I will surrender at the time given. I have not applied for any pardon." "There are many other people who deserve pardon. I want to tell with folded hands to the media, the honourable citizens of the country that when I am not going for pardon then there can be no debate about it," Dutt added.
SUPERHOT Kareena closes LFW
Wearing a peach pink coat shirt with loose high waisted pallazo pants, Kareena looked ravishing in the avatar. The finale set was elaborately decorated with glass flooring. Kareena was the show stopper for the Grand Finale which was presented by designer Namrata Joshipura. For her this was her debut at LFW Grand finale.
The finale by Namrata was inspired by Lakme Absolute's latest collection - Pop Tints. Lakme, every season, puts out a collection that defines beauty and fashion statement for the season. This time it is 'Pop Tints', which is inspired by bright neon colours trending worldwide.
Namrata's signature colour is black but she chose to experiment with shads of Neon like green and pink, majorly as it is spring summer and these are the colours of this season.
The collection had more or less a western feel. Kareena had walked the ramp for designers Kallol Datta and husband-wife duo Pankaj and Nidhi at Lakme Fashion week last year.
How Cambridge choir taught Mumbai kids to sing
Songbound and the popular choir tried to spread the message of music by holding workshops for children from underprivileged backgrounds. Members of the choir taught the enthusiastic children some music techniques and new songs.
The Jesus College Choir joined voices with 200 such children during a performance at Blue Frog on Sunday night. The event was attended by music lovers from across the city.
"It's a great platform for such children to work with world-class musicians and discover their hidden talent and capabilities," said Joe Walter, CEO of Songbound.
